This presentation will provide an overview of the regional water planning process in Texas including an overview of regional water planning group and fundamentals of the planning process. The presentation will also provide a brief summary of the draft 2027 State Water Plan.

Sarah N. Lee is Senior Advisor for the Water Supply Planning Division at the Texas Water Development Board, where she provides strategic direction and guidance for the division’s operations and activities. Sarah has over 20 years of experience in the water resources sector and served as the Water Development Board’s Regional Water Planning Program Manager for 8 years, overseeing the development and delivery of two cycles of Texas’ 16 regional water plans, which form the basis for the state water plan.
