CECON 2020 is Going Virtual!

President’s Message from Susan K. Roth PE, PMP

Since my message last month regarding CECON 2020, many of you have reached out to share your concerns related to an in-person conference. I want to thank everyone who took the time to contact me. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Given the concerns and restrictions related to travel and large crowds during the current pandemic, ASCE Texas Section has decided to pivot CECON 2020 to a 100% virtual event. 

While it was our greatest hope to host an in-person CECON 2020 this September, the safety of our attendees, speakers, and exhibitors is a top priority and of utmost importance. In addition, our Society has moved the 2020 ASCE Convention to a virtual platform, which has set the precedence for ASCE Regions and Sections to do the same. We believe this is the safest approach for our members and attendees. 

As we move CECON 2020 completely virtual, we look forward to offering you the same features highlighted in our previous in-person meeting along with the benefit of being able to access the recorded content post-conference. The virtual conference details are being evaluated, but the programming will still contain the high-profile speakers, panel discussions, and valuable learning opportunities you rely on each year at CECON. We are also excited to offer a virtual platform that will broaden the learning opportunities, experience, and engagement within our industry. More details on the virtual program, registration and refund options will be coming soon!

Thanks again for your patience during this decision-making process, and we look forward to seeing you at CECON 2020 Virtual this fall.
