December President’s Message – Holiday Wishes & New Year Goals

I can hardly believe that the year is coming to an end, and Christmas is just a couple of weeks away! This is the time of year when volunteering for charity organizations is at an all-time high. We go out of our way to help others, many of whom are less fortunate than ourselves. I want to thank every individual for volunteering their time and talents to help the ASCE organization be successful at both the Section and Branch levels.

We have a busy year ahead of us, kicking off as the State Legislature convenes. We have set aside Tuesday, February 26th, for the Legislative Drive-In! I would like 100% of ASCE Branches in Texas to attend, so please make plans now to attend. There are some provisions planned to help certain branches with a stipend to alleviate some of the travel expenses. Registration is available on the TexASCE website.

Speaking of the TexASCE website, our totally new website is about to roll out! Plan to check it out near the end of the month! We are excited to show off the improvements and capabilities it will now offer.

Lastly, please make sure that you renew your ASCE membership before the end of the year. Make sure to select the option to pay your Texas Section and local Branch dues (it is not an automatic selection at this time) so that we can continue to serve you as your professional society.

Invest in yourself and participate in your local branch’s activities.
