Jennifer Smith Awarded Outstanding Practitioner Advisor for Work at SMU

The ASCE Committee on Student Members has selected Jennifer Smith to be one of two recipients of the 2019 ASCE Outstanding Practitioner Advisor Award for her outstanding work and dedication as Practitioner Advisor to the Southern Methodist University (SMU) ASCE Student Chapter.

Smith was nominated for this award by her colleague, Jonathan Brower PE.

It is the enthusiasm and commitment of Practitioner Advisors like Smith who produce excellent student organizations such as hers.

Smith has also been selected to receive a Professional Service to Students Award from ASCE Texas Section at the Texas Civil Engineering Conference (CECON) in September. The Professional Service to Students award is given for meritorious service to the Texas Section by actively participating in one or more of the Texas-Mexico Regional Conference’s Student Chapters.
