2021 Student Symposium: Building the Future
We invite you to join the Texas Section and ASCE Student Chapters from the Texas-Mexico Student Conference on April 15-17, 2021 for our 7th Annual ASCE Texas Student Symposium. The event will be 100% virtual.
ASCE Texas Section’s annual Student Symposium fosters close association between engineering professionals and over 400 university students. The Student Symposium combines the Texas-Mexico Student Conference’s concrete canoe competition, as well as a variety of other student competitions, a career fair, and continuing education seminars into one event. Each year, the Student Symposium is hosted by an ASCE Student Chapter with support from their local Branch and the Texas Section.
The 2021 Student Symposium is hosted by the ASCE Student Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin. Additional support will be provided by the ASCE Austin Branch, ASCE Texas Section, and ASCE Region 6. The theme for the event this year is “Building the Future”. This theme is meant to inspire attendees to think creatively as they continue through their education and careers.

Is your company hiring? The Career Fair at our annual Student Symposium provides an opportunity for employers to meet with students from more than 20 universities from across Texas and Mexico, all in one place. By providing an opportunity to recruit from schools across Texas and Mexico at one large event, we hope to save employers staff time and travel expenses. For 2021, the planning team has decided to use the CareerFairPlus platform to host the Career Fair virtually.
If our Career Fair isn’t the right fit for you, we have two other sponsorship opportunities available or we are happy to connect and discuss a custom sponsorship package. Don’t miss the chance to build connections with the leading Texas civil engineers of tomorrow and find your next top employee! The deadline to join us is March 31, 2021.
REGISTRATION
Individual registration is now available and includes a conference t-shirt, the Career Fair, the Professional-Student Mixer, and the Awards Ceremony. The regular registration deadline is March 17, 2021. Late registration will be from March 18 – April 9. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but we cannot guarantee a giveaway bag for late registrations.
The student registration fee is $25 ($30 for late registration).
We will have more information on professional registration in the coming weeks.
