San Antonio Branch honored Life Members

May 2026

At the May General Meeting on May 11, 2026, the San Antonio Branch honored it’s Life Members with a Certificate.

Shown in the pics are Harold Voss, Dennis Hoyt, David Hasness (and Cindy Landez, SA President).

The first recipient is my inspiration/motivation in deciding to honor our Life Members.

When I joined the board 4 years ago, he began sharing engineering jokes, quotes and old articles with me.  He made a big impression.

Harold Voss

Harold has been a member since 1967 while still in college.

He is now enjoying his life in retirement.

Dennis Hoyt

Dennis has been a member since 1987.

He graduated from college in 1971.

Dennis is the sole proprietor of Hoyt Consulting Engineers providing Grading, Drainage and Floodplain Services.

David Hasness

David has been a member since 1982.

He graduated from University of Houston in 1982.

Works at Keystone Hardscapes.

Melvin Danysh

Melvin has been a member since 1971.

He graduated from University of Notre Dame with a BSCE in 1966 and an MSCE in 1968.

He owns Danysh & Associates Inc Structural Engineers and has been working for 46 years.

Phillip King –

Philip has been a member since 1987.

He graduated from Texas A&M with BS in May 1979 and Master of Engineering in August 1980.

He is still working after 46 years with SynchroPile, Inc.

It has been a great career and life, and I would not change any of it.”

Donald Klinzing –

Donald has been a member since 1969.

He graduated from University of Texas in 1969.

He worked for CPS Energy for 40 years and 2 months before retiring in June 2009. 

He is now enjoying his life in retirement.

David Wonder –

David has been a member since 1987.

He works for Persyn Engineering.
