Building Industry Connections and Creating STEM Opportunities at Harris County Precinct 4 Industry Day

On October 14, the ASCE Texas Section STEM Committee partnered with the ASCE Houston Branch to participate in Harris County Precinct 4 Industry Day, an event focused on professional networking, education, and collaboration within the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry professionals, school districts, and local businesses while promoting ASCE’s commitment to STEM education and engineering outreach. Throughout the event, the team distributed STEM-themed swag, shared information about ASCE’s educational initiatives, and encouraged organizations to explore opportunities to collaborate on future STEM activities.

Building relationships with industry partners and educational institutions is essential to expanding STEM outreach and introducing students to the diverse opportunities available in civil engineering. By connecting businesses and engineering professionals with ASCE’s educational programs, the committee aims to create meaningful opportunities for students to learn about engineering careers and engage with professionals in the field.

Participation in Harris County Precinct 4 Industry Day also helped strengthen connections between ASCE and organizations interested in supporting educational outreach and developing the next generation of engineering professionals.

The ASCE Texas Section STEM Committee appreciates the opportunity to engage with Harris County Precinct 4 and connect with organizations that share a commitment to STEM education, community engagement, and workforce development.

Interested in supporting STEM education and engineering outreach? The ASCE Texas Section welcomes opportunities to collaborate with industry professionals, businesses, and school districts to inspire future engineers. Together, we can build stronger partnerships between industry and education and help shape the next generation of civil engineering leaders.
