Have you ever painted yourself into a corner? Sometimes project restraints can do that to an engineer. This presentation will provide an overview of 3 recent TxDOT traffic signal projects that required out of the box thinking and ingenious methods to solve structural problems. The projects included the design of 3 traffic signals located at diamond intersections in the Dallas area. Columns, cantilevers, bearing plates, anchor bolts…it’s all part of the fun and excitement awaiting anyone who joins this ASCE Texas Section webinar. Structural and traffic engineers will get the most out of this technical presentation, but we invite all problem solvers to tune in and find out how our heroes save the day.
