NEW TexASCE Toolkit for Section & Branch Leaders

NEW TexASCE Toolkit for Section & Branch Leaders

Including Virtual Meeting resources, Mobile Payments, Social Media, and more!

Presented by the ASCE Texas Section Board of Direction

The purpose of this new Branch Toolkit is to provide ideas, resources, and guidance on many topics*, including increasing Younger Member (YM) involvement and overall member engagement at the local Branch level. Younger Member involvement is especially important for the success and longevity of an ASCE Branch. Providing YM specific opportunities, forming a YM Committee, and maintaining involvement are key components for an active Branch level Younger Member Group.

*Toolkit topics are based on feedback received from the Section Directors and Branch officers throughout 2020. This new Toolkit also highlights successful tips on hosting virtual meetings, handling mobile payments, using social media to promote Branch meetings and activities, and starting Civil Engineering Clubs at local high schools.

Section and Branch leaders can also find this Toolkit on the Section’s website, under the Resources tab.

2020 ASCE Texas Section President Susan Roth PE extends a special ‘thank you’ to the following members who provided content and helped create this invaluable member resource: Jonathan Brower PE and Phillip Alcorn PE (Dallas Branch), Alik McCoy PE and Julia Clarke PE (Houston Branch), Sam Shorter PE (Austin Branch), Chris Nance PE (El Paso Branch), Amy Stone PE and Sugandh Rajpal PE (San Antonio Branch).
