Meet a local leader in engineering supporting STEM education for Houston girls

Julia Clarke, the 2020 president of ASCE Houston Branch, was recently interviewed by KPRC2’s Houston Life to discuss encouraging and supporting girls interested in STEM education. Julia works as a senior geotechnical manager for Raba Kistner consultants in Houston and is active with both the local ASCE and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Julia has created a scholarship specifically for girls pursuing a degree in civil engineering and advocates for underrepresented or minority girls in STEM programs. Julia believes girls in STEM need to know they have people on their side that want them to succeed.
