Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee Provides Comments to Texas Water Development Board & General Land Office

In the most recent 86th Texas Legislative Session, several pieces of legislation supporting infrastructure improvements were passed. As this legislation is implemented, there are periodic opportunities for the public to submit commentary on these topics. This month, ASCE Texas Section’s Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee provided commentary to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) on these forthcoming revisions to the Texas Administrative Code per the recently passed Texas Senate Bill 7. In addition to this effort, the Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee also submitted commentary to the General Land Office (GLO) on the Draft State of Texas Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Action Plan. Further efforts are underway to submit additional commentary in response to Proposed Flood Planning Rules & Regions Mapping.
