Centennial Habitat House

To commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Texas Section of ASCE and as a part of the Texas Section Fall Conference, we will be breaking ground on the construction of the ASCE Centennial Habitat for Humanity house this fall. Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to provide safe, affordable housing for families in need.

We are looking for volunteers starting the weekend of September 14th through November 9th.  The volunteer days will be on Saturday from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm.  We will break for lunch at noon, and lunch will be provided at the site.

Below are the directions to sign up to use the DAHfH Volunteer Hub registration tool!  This new system will allow you to self-register, receive build details and directions, and add the event to your calendar.

Registration and sign up can be found at:  (For best results, copy and paste this link into your browser)
·         Create username and password and complete volunteer questionnaire. Each volunteer will be required to sign a release from liability waiver at the build site. Parents must sign a waiver for their minor children ages 16 or 17.
·         Click on Sign Up, select your company for Group Affiliation, Finish and review Your Event. You are officially registered to share an awesome day of volunteering with your group!
·         Once registered for an event, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirmation with a link that will download the event into your calendar, as well as a reminder e-mail a few days before your build date. You can cancel the reservation at any time, which will release the spot for another volunteer.
·         In the event you do not receive an automatic e-mail confirmation, check your junk mail.
If you have any questions about this system, please let Glenda Root know at Feel free to email with further questions about the Centennial House. Find out more about Texas ASCE’s Centennial Celebration at and Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity’s mission and other projects
