Webinar: Ethics – A Different Approach
July 13 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CDT
In making professional decisions, engineers often walk a tightrope between what is safe and what is economical. We engineer products (buildings, automobiles, smart phones, etc.) to have a certain life expectancy, but how do we determine a product’s expected life span? This presentation will talk about the ethical implications of planned obsolescence.
