Houston EWRI: Introduction to HEC-HMS & HEC-RAS

November 16 @ 7:30 AM - November 17 @ 4:30 PM CST

The Texas Section invites you to join the Houston Environmental & Water Resources Institute Chapter for a two-day training session on Tuesday, November 16 and Friday, November 17.  The session will focus on the HEC suite of programs.

When: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM CT on both days

Where: Lyondell-Basell Tower Business Center, 1221 McKinney St, Houston, TX 77010

Cost: $550 – $650

The seminars will be a general overview of the capabilities and practical application of the HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software packages for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.  These software are produced and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer’s Hydrologic Engineering Center in Davis, California, and are widely used in the water resources engineering industry.

Participants will be able to review key basic principles of hydrologic and hydraulics used in the modeling software, learn about the programs’ user interface, discuss applications for hydrologic design and open channel flow analyses, and explore the use of the programs with hand-on exercises.  This training is being offered both in-person and virtually to offer you two ways to attend.

Instructors will include:
