Houston EWRI Half-Day Conference
November 10 @ 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
The Texas Section invites you to join the Houston EWRI Chapter for their upcoming Half-Day Conference on Thursday, November 10.
When: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT followed by a social starting a 5 PM
Where: LyondellBasell Tower, 1221 McKinney St Suite 300, Houston, TX 77002
The Houston region is working hard to promote the sustainability and resiliency of the region’s environmental and water resources. Management of these resources in the face of future growth and climate change will require collaboration across all disciplines and institutions. How do we leverage the best available information, technologies, and integrated strategies to develop solutions that address today’s issues and tomorrow’s challenges? This conference will feature speakers and panelists from local, state, and federal agencies as well as universities and non-profits all focused on working together to address these questions and ultimately to build stronger communities.
We are excited to offer a mixture of panel discussions and presentations covering a wide range of topics such as:
- Sediment management and water quality
- Urban flood resiliency
- Sustainable urban stormwater systems
- Nature-based coastal engineering solutions
- Community-led conservation
- Planning in the face of climate change
- Interface between water supply and flood risk reduction
- Future research needs
Join us for a welcome lunch and an afternoon of interesting and informative discussions followed by a networking social. We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
