This is an in-depth webinar on geotechnical and environmental considerations for design of civil and transportation projects. The presentation will discuss the geotechnical requirements as it relates to transportation projects.

Mr. David A. Eastwood, PE, D.GE, DFE, C.A.P.M., F.FPA, F.ASCE with Geotech Engineering and Testing will help you understand the basics of geotechnical engineering as it relates to retaining walls, slopes and ground modifications. Mr. Eastwood will discuss various types of retaining walls including solider pile, MSE, soil nailing, gravity, and cantilever walls. He will also discuss slope stability and erosion protection, global stability, slope repair, retaining walls, drop/weir structures, soil nailing, channel failure, and detention ponds.

There will also be a discussion of geotechnical considerations for the three airport systems in Houston.
