2019 Buchanan Lecture

The 2019 Buchanan Lecturer is Professor Greg Baecher, PhD, PE, NAE, Glenn L. Martin Institute Professor of Engineering at the University of Maryland. Professor Baecher’s lecture is entitled “Putting Numbers on Geotechnical Judgement.” 

Also on the agenda is Professor Rudy Bonaparte PhD, PE, NAE, who will be presenting his 2018 Terzaghi Lecture “Geotechnical Stability of Waste Fills – Lessons Learned and Continuing Challenges.” Professor Bonaparte is Chairman and Senior Principal at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. and a Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Fugro will again be sponsoring the Buchanan Lecture.

The lectures will take place at the Brazos Amphitheater in the College Station Hilton, and will begin at 2:00 pm on October 18, 2019.
