The webinar will cover Section 27 - Concrete Culverts of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Construction Specification. In particular, the materials, manufacture, installation and field inspection of precast reinforced concrete pipe and precast reinforced concrete box culverts. The installation and field inspection portions will include an in depth discussion on proper techniques of installation, the AASHTO standard installations, and how to handle issues that might be found during the field inspection.

Description

The webinar will cover Section 27 -  Concrete Culverts of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Construction Specification. In particular,  the materials, manufacture, installation and field inspection of precast reinforced concrete pipe and precast reinforced concrete box culverts. We will also cover how this section relates to Section 12.10:  Reinforced Concrete Pipe,  and Section 12.11:  Reinforced Concrete Precast Box Culverts of the LRFD AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.

Steve Hiner PE is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and is currently based out of Houston. Steve has been with Rinker Materials - (Quikrete) for over 39 years. He has held a number of positions with Rinker, including Sales Engineer, Plant Manager, Corporate Engineer, and Director of Product Development. Prior to working for Rinker Materials, Steve was a Technical Services Engineer and Materials Engineer for Martin Marietta Cement in the Washington, DC - Baltimore area. He is active in ASTM C13, C27, AASHTO, AREMA, and the Texas Concrete Pipe Association.
